QTLS Introduction
QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills) is a status that allows teachers to teach in schools, having this status proves you’ve demonstrated a skill set that is essential and required in a teaching role. To achieve QTLS status you must first have the required English and Maths qualifications at GCSE (C) or above, or your functional skills at level 2.
Is QTLS the same as QTS?
Although very similar they both are seen as the same in law so having a QTLS is the equivalent of having QTS.

Can you teach in schools with QTLS?
Once you’ve gained QTLS you are legally allowed to teach any subject in any country that accepts QTLS and QTS such as: Australia, Canada, Iceland, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland and the USA
