This year, many students were left dissatisfied with the results they received, many needing GCSE Resits in Maths and English. If they still want to pursue a career where the Maths and English qualifications are mandatory, either ressitting or the alternative, but widely accepted, Functional Skills Qualifications are the best routes to explore.
At Leeds Tutor Company we have an exceptional pass rate percentage so we don’t usually perform a resit for many of our students. We do, however, have experience in resitting people that have just finished their GCSEs and didn’t receive the results they were expecting. Because of our experience, we have the prepared knowledge and ability to guide students to whatever goal they have set. Universities, Employers and Apprenticeships all accept Functional Skills Maths and English Level 2 as an equivalent to GCSE. Some places however do need above a level 4 GCSE and this would warrant a GCSE Resit of the chosen subject. Below you’ll find links to each resit page.
