Here at Leeds Tutor Company, we help our students day in and day out with their education needs. One of the main initiatives we have been involved in, in recent times we have been aiming to improve numeracy in adults through the provision of functional skills level 2 support. A wider programme has been set up by the government called Multiply scheme. This scheme aims to support adult learners with their studies and strives to improve their math skills.
Through this Multiply scheme learners are given access to level 2 maths resources and support. This includes tuition from experienced and DBS monitored tutors. We are looking to support this scheme by providing our learners with quality 1-2-1 tuition functional skills maths tutors. The Multiply website offers resources and tuition but it does not allow learners to actually sit the level 2 maths qualification. In order to qualify for the certificate you must sit the exam through a regulated center, this could be your local college or alternatively you could sit it online and from the comfort of your own home.
To qualify for the support from the multiply scheme, learners must meet a few requirements, onme of which is that you cannot already have a GCSE grade C or level 4 or a functional skills qualification. The resources are part of the scheme that is being developed to be specific to the learners sector or industry they work in, making it flexible for them. These questions have contextualised questions, practice exercises and video explanations helps to bring the maths alive and makes it more relatable, making it easier to learn.
