At Leeds Tutor Company we aim to provide help for students with all parts of their studies. For this week’s post we want to discuss GCSE maths questions. We’ve noticed that a lot of students like to use past papers as their main revision source. Past papers are one of the best resources available but using them first can cause issues as there aren’t many that are freely available so it’s crucial not to waste them. A better option is questions that can be broken down into smaller sections, we recommend MME maths questions by topic.

When using GCSE maths questions, it’s really important to learn from your mistakes. The best way to make the most out of the topic questions is to complete a set of questions, mark them and then note down any mistakes. Over more topics you can start to compile a summary of which areas you need to look over. This is a really great way of pinpointing specific areas to revise so you don’t waste any time going over areas you’re already confident with.

You should repeat this same method with GCSE maths past papers, continually correcting your mistakes. Working through these papers is great preparation for your exams as they help you get used to exam questions and how the papers are laid out, whilst you continue to learn from your mistakes.
